Inside Scoop: Ice Cream and Conversation with the Santa Cruz City Council Candidates

We invite you to join us for an evening of serious social dialog with the Santa Cruz City Council Candidates. We will socialize, we will ask questions of the candidates and we will eat ice cream from the Penny Ice Creamery.

We are crowdsourcing the questions here so we capture the hot topics for our communities.

	Civinomics is a local startup company whose mission is to provide communities with the tools needed to more effectively manage civic information and collective decision making. Over the past year, Civinomics has interviewed over 2,500 members of the community about a wide variety of local issues using their unique iPad survey application. On September 5th, they will be privately launching an online community workshop platform, which facilitates civic crowdsourcing and public discussion. They believe there can be improvements in social decision making through the use of better information, increased public engagement, and the collective creativity of communities.
